Our Staff
Montgomery Montessori is led by Karen, our longtime director whose own children grew up here and now proudly serve as part of our staff. Our teachers have been with us for years, creating a warm, consistent, hands-on environment families return to generation after generation. It truly takes a village to raise a child—and this is that village.

The Montessori Method
The Montessori Method is a child-centered approach to education developed by Dr. Maria Montessori over a century ago. Her work was grounded in careful observation of children and their natural desire to learn, explore, and become independent. Instead of traditional teacher-led instruction, Montessori environments allow children to learn through hands-on materials, freedom of movement, and meaningful choices that match their developmental stage.
How Montessori Education Works
In a Montessori classroom, children learn at their own pace and follow their interests while being gently guided by trained educators. The environment is intentionally prepared—beautiful, orderly, and calm—to help children build concentration, coordination, problem-solving skills, and confidence. Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Language, and Cultural materials give children the tools to understand the world around them in a deep, concrete way. This approach encourages independence, curiosity, self-motivation, and a lifelong love of learning.
Why We Choose Montessori
Montessori education aligns perfectly with our belief that every child is capable, curious, and naturally driven to grow. By allowing children to explore and learn through hands-on experiences, the Montessori Method helps them develop independence, responsibility, and a strong sense of self. At Montgomery Montessori, we see firsthand how this method transforms little learners into confident, thoughtful, school-ready children who are eager to discover, create, and thrive.
